Munster Rugby

Not only is this my first time watching a professional sports game, it is also the first rugby game I have ever seen. Two in one, it was a good day!

Sally and I decided to go watch a Munster Rugby game two Fridays ago. We didn’t know what to expect, but we had some free time and decided we would check it out. There were a lot less people than I expected and we sat way up in the stands… row FF.. so high up the letters had to start doubling. It was cool though because we got a view of the whole field and the beautiful city and land out beyond the field.

During the game we weren’t really sure what was going on, so we did our best to make sense of the plays and the calls made. I’m pretty sure we made up more than half of it.

I was really interested to at least find out the basics of the game of rugby, so that night I Googled “Rugby for Dummies” and learned the basics of this very fascinating game. I can’t wait to watch another one with my new understanding. Things might actually make sense this time.
